MasonicGamer.com: In the decade that’s passed since the release of MGS, the internet has forever changed the way we consume media. No longer do gamers have to sit by their mailbox, eagerly awaiting the next issue of their favorite magazine in order to see the latest screenshots of their most anticipated titles. These days we all have constant, 24-hour-a-day access to every piece of info we could possibly want, on even the most obscure releases. As a result, the hype-monster has grown from an unfriendly troll who lives under a bridge and occasionally tries to snatch up children into a giant Godzilla-style beast who can flatten entire city blocks with a single flick of its tail. Video games seem to generate more of this than any other type of entertainment, as hardcore fans will analyze every minute detail of screenshots and videos, coming up with their own conclusions which can be shared, instantly, with the rest of the world....
Workers at Sega of America, a division of Sega Sammy Holdings Inc., have became the first employees at a major North American video-game company to ratify a union contract, a move that may accelerate a burgeoning labor movement in an industry known for widespread instability among its work force.
The contract, ratified Tuesday, covers around 150 people across marketing and other departments at the division’s offices in Southern California. Workers will receive minimum yearly pay increases of 4% in 2024, 3% in 2025 and 2.5% in 2026 as well as a number of other benefits, Catalina Brennan-Gatica, a representative for the Communications Workers of America, said in an interview.

Worst thing that will happen is it will have a lower stock price and ceos won't get extra millions they don't really need. Other than that the company will continue on and ppl will be treated better.
The co-founders of Kaidro are very excited about their upcoming tie-in video game, and so should you.

You get a Wii u. Me and other nintendo fanatics overhyped the Wii and we got the Wii u. I useto hype the gimmick controls with the bad games and it seems like the Wii u is going down the same path. Last gen graphics, gimmick controls
Yupp, overhyping has certainly ruined my enjoyment of several games in the past....but comparatively, it's so refreshing when you find a gem that receives little to no coverage and turns out to be great.
I think so called journalist who write up all these fancy previews full of lies also add to the problem
Well, previews are technically nothing more than fleshed out fact sheets. Those who bs in their previews are certainly harming the games and stepping outside of proper, journalistic boundaries. They're supposed to be objective, but it's clear that some titles get completely exploited by the time they're released. A shame, really.
That's all this gen has really been. Talking up games which wot be released for years if ever. Then if they come out and aren't broken because they needed more dev time still they're are just plain underwhelming. They rarely live up to the hype.
