Nintendo will be giving the 3DS XL dual analog controls with the updated Circle Pad Pro accessory.
Definitely sleeker than the previous model! Love the sleek curve on the right, makes for a more comfortable experience. This will go great with the release of MH3 Ultimate and MH4 soon after. I can't wait to re-play RE: Revelations and KH:DDD with this on my XL! I never expected to miss my original so bad...
yup! & MH too!
The circle pad pro is a slap in the face and illustrates how the 3ds is an incomplete handheld system.
"Definitely sleeker than the previous model!" .....except now you'll need to keep it in a suitcase to travel with it. I can't believe Nintendo made the almost exact same mistake as the PSP. Now many games are going to be normalized with sub-par controls and only a couple given optional circle pad pro controls. I'm so disappointed with the new handhelds. They're hardly "portable" (3DS included after accounting for a circle pad pro) and 3DS didn't normalized dual sticks. Heck, I'd rather have a 2D platform that's actually portable.
I love that instead of simply integrating it into the new model, they just made another stupid attachment. /s This is SARCASM. I think this was a very poor choice. So now we have to buy another attachment for a new model. Why would they do this? Integration would open the system up for more opportunities than just an expensive optional attachment. And I said this, like many of you, when the XL came out. Why wouldn't they just put the damn thing in the system in the first place?
i know it is lol.. I was being sarcastic lol.. Notice he said plat those games *again*.. I meant hes gonna play monster hunter AGAIN too
I can only imagine how huge that will make the 3DS
-____- I really want to buy a 3DS (specially the XL, I think the 3DS screen is way to small), but argh... That circle pad is just pathetic. Bad design choices at its best.
There's just so much space under those ABXY buttons!
so ugly, urghhhh.. i'll wait for a 3DS with circle pad integrated instead of this ridiculous "idea" they came up with
Can't wait to put that in my back pocket.
They won't be giving it, a 3 gen old feature finally gets "added" to Nintendo's latest handheld.....Put simply, there is no excuse for Nintendo not including a 2nd analogue stick to 3DS. And Nintendo fanboys, before you pipe up, think of this, you Nintendo fans, & many gamers in general are staunch advocates for GAMEPLAY before graphics & all that....well, why the hell & how can you defend a company that tries to bedazzle you with pseudo, glasses free, 3D graphics, & adds that to the machine over the importance & neccessity of a 2nd analogue stick which is strictly a controllability & gameplay oriented enhancement. It doesn't make sense, & the quicker people realize & stop buying old hat, last gen, underpowered, over priced, gimmick oriented machines, the more the industry will evolve. Nintendo are trying to slow down, hold back, technology, to suit there own needs, & service themselves over gamers. They want to stunt the growth of the industry as inevitable rising development costs are too much for them, & in that regard can't run with the big boys. So lets leave Nintendo to Pokemon, & they can leave the business & let Samsung or anybody but bloody Apple take there place as a major player in the console manufacturing & gaming industry. Samsung would be an awesome choice, I would definately keep a very keen eye on it, if they were ever to enter this industry. I'd love a Sony/Samsung combo.
You're absolutely right.... about the analog stick part anyway, the rest of your comments are laughably fanboyish, and you should probably take a break from the rage and really think about the comments you've made. That said, after all the criticism Nintendo got after the e3 reveal about a lack of a second circle pad, they really should have put one in. Heck even if it made the system bigger, I doubt many people would complain. While this wasn't so terrible important for the original DS, Nintendo's reluctance to include the second circle pad, and I suppose also the extra buttons is inexcusable.
Get the Nyko Circle Pad Pro people. It looks a lot better and the design put Nintendo's to shame.
Circle Pad Pro on the 3DS made it feel like I was playing a Game Gear. CPP on the 3DSXL must look enormous.
