Battlefield 3 will receive a patch on September 20th to deal with the onslaught of complaints from users about it being over powered in Rush Mode.

As ridiculously OP it is now, It would be even more annoying if they take the stupid route here and make it so Infantry can now survive a direct hit from the gun ship.
But tanks should withstand more, I bought this expecting epic tank/anti tank conflicts. However, it turned out to just be AC 130 kill any vehicle you get in.
Just give us the option to turn of the gunship in rented servers and leave its damage stats the same, or even reduce its re spawn time, just don't fuck about with damage stats again, you already ruined to many guns!
Every vehicle should be user-controlled. That's what makes this Battlefield. I was seriously disappointed in BF2 when I found out you couldn't control the ships, and now this AC-130 in BF3. They're slowing stripping away what makes the series so great.
Gunship definitely needed a buff. Or at least nerf planes and choppers against it. That thing barely lasts 30 seconds in the air most of the time on the PC version..
Panda, yea all the games i have played the AC-130 is shot within 30-45 seconds and just gets annoying when your trying to get in it and shot down. i think they need to separate modes Rush i can why it would need to be toned down a bit But for the rest of the modes i would add a little bit more health to the AC-130. i don’t even want to get in the AC-130 now because of the time it takes to take it down. specially when i bought the expansion for the AC-130 but now i wishing i haven’t.
People's feeling are mixed on the AC-130. I think it should stay because it make Rush mode much more interesting and fun, and not a sniper fest like the vanilla maps. The defenders have to work now, and not just javelin + snipe.
They was meant to make it so jets cant take it down so easy. The patch seems to have done bugger all.still gets the shit ripped out of it within 20 seconds.

Not sure why it was included in Armored Kill in the first place, it's more of an annoyance tbh..
