Some Publishers actually wanted Obsidian to do a Kickstarter

"How messed up can the video game industry be? It’s the job of the publisher to provide funding to the developers so that they can create the game, isn’t it? But Obsidian’s CEO revealed how cost conscious publishers can be." (PC, PS3, Xbox 360)

Unfucking believable. This really does make my blood boil. Such nerve and arrogance from these publishers!! I have no doubt one of these was EA or Activision

It is pathetic that any publisher would be so ignorant to think they would have the developer kickstart the game and than they would publish it and get most of the profit.

I'm glad I took a chance on kickstarting this game (my first time)even though i'm not quite sure if Project Eternity is the game for me. I'm definitely going to try it once I get my copy, but even if I don't enjoy it, i'll still be glad I supported Obsidian. They're a great developer. They just need the time to perfect that.

It has to be EA, why? Because didn't they already say they're going to be distributing successfully funded kickstarter games on Origin? They know they'll make a killing on something like Project Eternity because gamers really want to support Obsidian. I hope Project Eternity never comes to Origin because EA doesn't deserve a dime.
