I wish Nintendo could get their hands back on Rare. I don't trust Microsoft with this game. I like my 360, but I have a bad feeling they're going to add some Kinect garbage to it.

The Banjo Kazooie Nuts and Bolts game was awesome So many people missed out on such a terrific game. If any game deserves a sequel its Perfect Dark, the one on 360 wasn't bad but it suffered from being the first launch title for 360 and there wasn't much thought or care put into it except rush it out there to boost our first outing library.

Now though, with a little more care and elbow grease (not to mention ques from other more popular FPS's this gen)I'm sure the staff at Rare can make a kick ass PD for the 360.

Well said, N&B's was awesome and it's a crime that it is overlooked, also PDZ was originally supposed to be a standard xbox release but Microsoft delayed it to bolster the 360's launch, so it was bound to suffer for it.

I hope this new Killer Instinct is a full 360 or 720 release but I suspect it will be another half hearted HD version, if it is, it better at least be the arcade version and not the poo poo snes one.

All they've done this generation is release Perfect Dark Zero, Banjo Kazooie Nuts & bolts, Viva Pinata 1 & 2, Kinect Sports, Kameo Elements Of Power, Banjo Kazooie on XBLA and Perfect Dark on XBLA. Each game selling over a million copies, yet they still get crap because they worked on Kinect when Microsoft needed a quality app to launch with it. I still think Kinect Sports is the top app for the device.

Anyway, this is either an HD version of the game (hopefully) or possibly a new game? I would personally wish for a HD version to test the waters and see if people still like the franchise. If people are still digging it, come out with a new version on the 720.

MS didn't "gut" them...at least according to the source you have provided.

It only states that MS was going to "restructure" the team with possible layoffs due to the economic times and short comings of sales.

RARE is not dead nor "gutted" just streamlined to be more efficient as a game studio.

RARE is still very much kicking and quiet lately. It's possible we could see a KI HD remake AND/OR a new KI IP releasing by holiday season. There is a reason as to why 4 months before Christmas the domain is purchased....

Seems a bit more than just making "Avatars"....

Sure it doesn't look like they are making AAA retail games but this line up looks to be more of a "restructure" to support a new peripheral and a couple throwbacks for the fans than a total "gut-annihilation".

This would be a pretty cool exclusive for you 360 fans. What I would like to see is another beat 'em up called Primal Rage. Anybody remember that game? It would be interesting if that was released at some point. Don't think there was a game similar to it to this day.

This doesn't mean a thing. Companies, especially toy companies renew trademarks all the time so they don't lose the rights to the name. But it never means they plan on releasing a new product or brand.

I have faith in rare but I would rather they work on a bad a** Killer Instinct or take over Crackdown.

Sometimes I just wonder what kind of suits are running the show over there at Microsoft. With the success of 2D fighting in Street Fighter 4 and Mortal Kombat, this should of been a no brainer.

My opinion... Have this at launch for next gen. Keep it at 2D with realistic and smooth graphics and keep Kinect out of this. And more importantly, work on the network code. Make the online battles run smoothly.
