HD-DVD drive fire sale

The recommended retail price of the Xbox 360 HD DVD Player add-on has been slashed from $249.95 to $129.95, effective immediately. With only one major movie studio still supporting HD-DVD, and consumer confidence in the format collapsing, the software giant is keen to cut its losses.

Gameplayer once against spewing their anti 360 nonsense. That said, the HD DVD player in Australia never really took off, Toshiba is to largely blame for that because they never supported the format like the Blu-Ray people did
