Users take to official PlayStation forums to complain of issues, including problems with internet connectivity, since the PS3 system software update v4.25.
No problems here, Slimline 250 gig.
Same here, but 120GB Slim.
None here either. Used it last night. Netflix was messing up a bit but that's probably because of the DNS changes I made to get the US one.
Ps3 update 1.0 - 4.25 sparks complaints have you had problems? People are always associating any little problems to firmware updates. It can cause such problems but very rare.
Fat PS3 20 gig here. No issues. Works just fine. If it works on my launch system it seems weird that anyone else would be having this issue. So if a couple people have an issue suddenly it's a mass issue of epic scales?
These complaints pop up after every firmware update. Seriously not newsworthy.
Yeah not had a problem either, though know someone who can't get on PSN since.
slow news day
These types of articles are just fishing for negative posts. There's always a chance with an install base of 65 million that at least a few people have had problems whether it's related to the patch or not. In fact I'd be shocked if someone's PS3 DIDN'T go wrong after they'd updated. If you asked whether your PS3 went wrong straight after you sneezed you'd get some people that would answer: 'Yes'. It's just the law of averages.
The article is posted by Playstation Universe, a site that also supplies a lot of positive articles. If people are having issues and sites like this talk about then perhaps other users can breathe a sigh of relief and realize it's not just them if they too are having issues. I swear some of you guys are too sensitive. Perhaps you should take a break and ignore this place for a month and get back to normal.
Why is it when theres a PS3 update I hear stories of complaints but never see any legitimate evidence of any problems what so ever
Because this site is run by Sony fanboys who like nothing more than to put down the very console they bought... evidently
Dude, you seriously need to let it go. This is about the 3rd time I've seen you post something like this. Just LET GO. And stop being so bitter about stuff like this. -__-
Bitter? LOLOL. Imagine me saying that to you with a smile on my face whilst looking upwards and sideways and you'll get a better idea of who I am :) edit: At below: That's just a notice for the internet site
"This site is run by Sony fanboys" is always the excuse for anything positive Sony-wise, or for trolls getting marked as such, the agree/disagree rate, etc. Yet, on any given day, there are more articles in some way critical of Sony and its products than there are similar articles for the other two console makers. If this site were really run by Sony lovers, wouldn't that be the opposite? Edit: First of all, nobody said the Wii U wasn't suffering from negative articles. In fact, I'm certain you can find comments from both myself and GribbleGrunger decrying those articles. We both know you won't, though. Second, why are you now bringing up an unrelated system, when this is about the PS3? Wouldn't YOU attack somebody for doing that? Don't YOU attack people for responding to comments that don't, themselves, directly address the article? ( http://n4g.com/comments/red... Hypocrite? Yes, you are.
We've seen a lot of negative topics about the Wii U yet why aren't you guys talking about them? HappyTrigger is right, some of you guys need to give it a rest.
It is so fun to see Gribble and Hicken working hand and hand to keep the "media is biased against Sony" conspiracy alive and thriving. Good job guys, maybe one day people will actually believe the fantasies you vomit.
Here is your proof from Sony. http://community.us.playsta...
Nope everything has been fine on my end.
No problems here. I had slow trophy syncing after the previous patch, but it went away with the new patch. Maybe a coincidence. *shrug*
Haven't updated yet.
Interesting my controllers wont connect with my ps3 unless i reset them, i was thinking this might have something to do with using remote play recently, or the Bluetooth is going and possible the recent firmware. Someone in the article has a similar problem but i can turn off my system perfectly fine its just getting the controller to par initially i have to reset it. Guess ill wait and see if its the firmware or something else. Just read the forums and it looks like no one there has my issue hmm other than not paring initially everything else is fine.
Actually I have had a pretty big issue. Every time I try to go back to the main xmb, switch from game to game (games on my hdd), or to Netflix while in game, it shuts off, turns back on, then says the system was not shut off properly there may have been a corruption of files. It then runs its little test and says every thing is fine, except for one time where I had to format my hdd and I lost everything I had. I have a slim with a 1tb hdd btw. I don't know why it's doing this but it freaks me out every time since I had to format. I'm not sure if this update has anything to do with it though.
Got a slim and phat and everything is all good in Sony land for me. Yo Gribble just picked up my LBP vitaaaaaa lol cant wait to get home and play it. Im at work now lol
No problem here as well. 40gig Ps3.
Mine has been ok. 120gb slim.
mine is A ok. oh a disagree? who is in my apartment watching me eat my oatmeal?
NO it works better than before :D
Fat 80gig all good.
Ive got a problem the interface still sucks and i still dont have cross game chat... what can you do for me SONY? Being serious, I havent had any issues on mine, not sure what is going on but seems like a small amount of people.
Only problem I've had is every time I check my trophies I have to sync every single time. Not a big deal just annoying.
My ps3 turn into a Xbox.
My only problem with the update was that it did not allow me to pre-order and pre-download Borderlands 2. :-)
Funny how they're all different issues yet all blame the same cause!! Fishy!!!
Mines been crashing more on the xmb since the update, and a friends controllers keep unsyncing on theirs, but other than that they work fine :)
Only problem I had last week was when I would sync my trophy list then go to look at my profile it would start the sync over and over each time.. It has stopped doing that, so other than that, no issues.
I've had a couple internet problems and the PS3 trophy syncing seems to take longer then usual. Other then that not many issues.
Its weird. The fan has stopped making loud noises since the update. Problem? Hell no, I can watch a movie and play in peace now 40gig fat. Still purring like a kitten
Well it took me 2 days of trying to sync my trophies just after the patch even with a fast connection. And when I play a game it just sits on a black screen so I have to quit and go back in. (Probably has nothing to do with the update, may just be my ps3 on its death bed :/) but trophy sync is fine now. So really no issues here.
A question? How come sometimes when there is a firmware update for the PS3 we get problems with 'internet connectivity'? Should one not be asking your service provider about 'internet connectivity' rather than question if it is the PS3 fault.
I can't connect to the PSN - get error 8001050F Fat console, refurbished 60Gb model (after a previous update killed the last one) upgraded HDD to 500GB Momentus XT I've tried 3 different internet connections including tethering mobile to netbook, bridging to lan and sahring internet via LAN to console, same result. I can still browse/stream network media and internet, just no PSN. Also of note, cannot update system date/time via internet.
