The Nintendo product line has done a pretty amazing job this week with the Nintendo 3DS entertainment system landing in the number one position in the US of A. While also securing 4 placements in the top 10 within the weekly software charts. Smashing good job all around, and Nintendo should be proud of the results of their awarding exclusive AAA offerings.
Nintendo 3DS entertainment system exclusives like Mario Kart 7 and Super Mario 3D Land have proven to have very long legs. Heading toward an entire year since release, and still holding on with one hand on the top 10 charts. Not to mention the dominating numbers provided by New Super Mario Bros 2 even 3 weeks into its life. I guess the world has not had enough of the Mario Franchise after all. That in itself is an Achievement Unlocked to say the least. Lets all hope for the best and see to it that the Nintendo product line stays this strong well into the distant future.
These amazing sales combined with AAA quality releases for the Nintendo 3DS entertainment system have pretty much cemented said platform into the number one position. As far as dedicated handheld gaming devices go anyway. Followed by the Nintendo 3DS entertainment systems greatest competition, which so happens to be the original Nintendo DS entertainment system.

Truely nothing has astonished me more than the turn around of PS3's dominance to what it is now. Huge surprise to say the least
