Darksiders II Review | HAL

Isaac Wagner: "I was extremely excited for Darksiders 2. The first Darksiders was a nice surprise back in 2010, and I couldn't wait to see how developer Vigil Games would follow up on the exemplary ending of the first game. I feel strange not spoiling it here because Darksiders 2 side steps Vigil's Games premiere title almost completely. Like The Bourne Legacy this year, Darksiders 2 expands the franchise out horizontally instead of vertically. That includes the story as it takes place concurrently with the original Darksiders, and gameplay wise most of The Legend of Zelda influence is buried beneath a pile of skill points, color coded loot, and other pieces of Hack 'N Slash RPG design." (Darksiders 2, PC, PS3, Xbox 360) 4/5
