How “Cross Buy” Can Change the Face of Gaming

Recently at Gamescom 2012 in Cologne, Germany, Sony announced its newest promotion in the form of Cross Buy, a program that allows gamers who purchase select Vita titles to download the PS3 version of the same game free of charge, and vice versa. Sony undoubtedly hopes that this new undertaking will help remedy the PS Vita’s lack of software since its launch. The potential for this promotion, however, is so much more. It could push the gaming industry towards a new way that gamers can approach their gaming habits.

Waste of money for who(m)? I think this is a great deal for those that are on the fence on buying the vita version, but are buying the PS3 version.
This will also push sales on the Memory cards.

...It's the exact opposite. Cross-buy SAVES the consumer money. A lot of money.

And it's already "changed the face of gaming." Because it's not a new concept.

Because I don't see how getting a second version of a game FREE would be a waste of any customers money.

i dont know about the change of gaming but i do know it will change my gaming finances lol now i will be getting more games because i only have to buy one Ratchet and Clank Full Frontal Assault copy, one Playstation All Stars Battle Royale copy , one Guacamelee copy and one Sly Cooper Thieves in Time so with the money saved i will be investing in other games but perhaps i wont get the time to play then all, oh man thats a dilemma then there is wiiU right around the corner and i will be getting the premium system with ZombiU and most likely Nintendo Land.
