The Black Mesa mod, which recreates the original Half-Life in the Source Engine, has finally been released – and you can now download it after eight years of development by its huge team.
I still never played the Half-Life games...Even when they were 75% off. Probably because there are so many different versions of them (seriously, which ones should I be playing?). I'll still try this out though.
There's actually 2 full games, 2 spin-offs and 2 expansions.
Half life Half life: Blue shift (Barney the security guard story from half life 2) Half life: oppose force (the story of the marines) Half life 2 Half life 2: episode 1 Half life 2: episode 2
If you have a DC you can play half life 1 and blueshift on one disc (like I did) Or half life on the ps2 which also comes with those two chicks story (like I also did) Then the orange box which comes with all the half life 2 (like I did)
Well I have to admit I wasn´t always a Half-life fan... For me it was no different than Doom or Quake at that time... hell I had more fun playing Duke nukem 3d
When the Orange Box came out I decided to give it a try since I had already played Portal & already knew about the Cinematic Mod (7.0 at that time)... I loved it!
Now I couldn´t do the same with HL1... Despite I already knew this was the game that started all, I just couldn´t go back the 90´s. I saw the videos I and told myself, there´s no way I can play that. Then Black Mesa surfaced more as a "what if" project rather than a real posibility. Now is here!!!
Epic!
Weekend: sorted.

If anyone is struggling for a download link that works I recommend this one
