Games have a huge advantage over more-traditional forms of art. They can summon an emotion just as well if not better than any painting.
I'll never understand what people's deal with this is. If a upsidedown urinal can be art, why not video games? I mean, really. They're not all Grand Theft Auto, which is likely the only thing the nongaming public thinks of when they think "video game."
Well, videogames are more interactive than most other forms of art. I love drawing and painting, but that doesn't mean that I hate videogames, because of their rather bad image people, which haven't any clue about them, give them. I can still do both, although I have to say that I have more fun playing videogames with my brother (something I haven't to do alone) than sitting alone, while I draw and paint. before you criticise any form of art, you should practise them first, than you can build your own opinion on the subject.
Same is with watching at a painting, it isn't on the same interactive level as videogames, such as holding the controller. When I watch at a painting, I use my eyes and my brain, when I play videogames I use my eyes/my brain and my hands (by deciding what will happen on the screen).
