well those are not limited editions because activision makes them in millions.Limited is something that is made in very low numbers not in the million packages!

Incorrect. Limited means there is only a finite amount made and available for sale not continuous production like the regular edition will have.

Once it is gone, it is gone.

I could make 100 million units of my product and not a single one more.

I am then free to say that my product is a limited edition and has limited availability as it is _limited_ to 100 million units.

I'm thinking that was a jab at activision like every other comment mentioning activision or call of duty. Can we grow up at any point before the next systems come out?? Jesus people come on.

This is very true. But, they do still label them as being limited editions in most cases. Limited editions, special editions etc.

Yeah, if you're a diehard fan and have the cash to spare they can be pretty cool. Some have been lame, but others do give you a few cool items to celebrate the series.
