Kuma Wrote: Welcome race fans to Forza Horizon. This is the new open world racing game in the Forza series and also their first open world racer. I wanted to share my thoughts a bit on this concept, because many racing games have tried to accomplish what many of us race enthusiast wanted. The first open world racing game I tried was Test Drive Unlimted, which was a nice vacation racer set in Hawaii. Later on came Burnout: Paradise which was not a simulator like Test Drive, but more of an open world arcade, destruction derby racer. There is even an MMO from the folks at Need for Speed World, but I think that Forza Horizon might have something to add to the ranks of the open world racing genre. The developer came out by saying, “It is not just a race against opponents, but a race against the world.” I like the way he stated that, since the environment itself will also be your enemy in dealing with traffic and distractions. The world is alive and if you are not concentrating on the world infront of you, then you might want to prepare to kiss your steering wheel hitting an object at over 150 mph.
