Newly appointed CEO of Atari parent Infogrames David Gardner has met with the company's employees for the first time – as the firm reports he has joined at an 'opportune time'.
Speaking after the meeting in Lyon, France, former EA exec Gardner said he recognised the team had a "fighting spirit" and that it was now "well capitalised" after a "period of underinvestment".
"I am very enthusiastic after my first meeting with the team in France," he said. "I could sense the teams have the passion for gaming and energy. The team has the will to see through the challenges ahead. We have the fighting spirit.
