Darksiders 2 Review | X360A

Darksiders II is huge. From the hulking, chunky characters and vast landscapes, to the towering bosses and the apocalyptic storyline, it's a whopping great big monster of a game, drawing on influences with statures to match. Everything about it is massive. (Darksiders 2, PC, PS3, Xbox 360) 78/100

agreed. finished it this weekend, i think the narrative was weaker this time around and the ending was a dissapointment but other than that the gameplay sets the bar for action adventure imo, combat has so much variety, rpg elements worked incredibly well, and aside from earth the environments were top notch. for those who dont want to read......

9/10 IMO

+feels different enough to warrant a sequel while not straying so far it feels like a new series, other devs should take note instead of giving us more of the same all the time
+combat, so much variety, skill trees
+rpg elements, loot
+art direction
+enemy variety ( angels are a b*tch though )
+level design
+tons to do

-weaker story, not bad but weaker
-earth seems tacked on compared to the rest of the levels
-graphics could look better but are not bad by any stretch

Overall I found this game below par tbh, the first one was much much better in almost everyway imo. Only the first world (forge world) was any good, the other three were tiny and the story was nearly non existent, defo disappointed in this sequel and you could tell they ran out of time and had to throw out half the game which we'll probably have to pay for in dlc...
