Skyrim: Hearthfire DLC Review | Proven Gamer

To start, Hearthfire features a new “build your dream house” mechanic to the game, whereas before it’s release you could purchase a home in the specific cities and add the everyday Skyrim stuff (arcane enchanters, alchemy lab, decorations, etc.). Now you can purchase plots of land and actually build your home/homes from the ground up. This feature means you’ll be gathering miscellaneous materials and crafting them using some all-new tools like the drafting table or carpenters workbench once you have purchased your prefered plot of land. From a tiny cottage to a huge mansion-like compound, the home you build is up to you. (Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Hearthfire DLC, Xbox 360) 4/5

Cheap DLC, some cool features, seems worth it.
