Borderlands 2 - Live Action Commercial

DSOGaming writes: "It’s no secret that we love live action films and trailers. Therefore, it’s only natural to share with you this new, live action commercial trailer for Borderlands 2. It looks gorgeous, and each and every character looks identical to its ‘in-game’ incarnation." (Borderlands 2, PC, PS3, Xbox 360)

I'm kinda disappointed in the siren's representation but it was still pretty badass.

The game looks so cool on its own. Why did they ruin the advertising with what looked like a cos-players home movie?

If I didn't know anything about the game, THAT certainly wouldn't have sold me when I saw it yesterday during football. If your going to do a live action movie spend some money on it like Halo and ME3 did.

It's too bad Gearbox didn't have the foresight to think that fans would be going straight to their website or Youtube in hopes of seeing this again, and here we are close to 24 hours later and they haven't put it up themselves. I mean, good for the people who have used their cell phones to try and record it so that we could see it, but I was barely paying attention during the Patriots/Titans game yesterday when it ran and there was nowhere to turn to except crappy recordings (which again, I thank those who posted for posting). Business day has started Gearbox, get with the program.

And for the record, it is awesome, and if you think otherwise, you are totally missing the point, which shouldn't need to be explained.

The trailer looks fun. The Gearbox guys must be loving the fact that they can do stuff like this now. Good for them.

Looking great for a live action trailer

That looks terrible. They made the game look like just any other shooter out there with more vibrant colors. Why not draw some attention to the game's strengths?

This advert looks like some cosplay made video. I dont think it was a good idea.
I think its recommended that video game adverts should stick to actual in game footage. That way everyone knows what they are getting when they hand over their cash and there will be none of this "that wasnt in the game" moments.
In this particular game though Gearbox could of just shown the #a Wim a weh a wim a weh# trailer.

The advert is great, silly and camp with a power rangers theme. Fantastic!

Oh no! A commercial that did something different from their usual!

I am not disappointed in the commercial as it is pretty entertaining, looks fun and it makes it look like a commercial from the past! :) and for 30 seconds (well...29) it's fine.

I would have loved to see stuff flying out of enemies (equipment) and probably each classes unique skill to show it off :) oh...and a live-action CLAPTRAP :DD!

The only thing I might agree upon is that it doesn't really show the game's charm because of the art direction the game uses which is difficult to pull off without being in-game.

Still better than what Call of Duty can pull off =P (especially reading someones comment as they can be poking fun at Call of Duty as well with it :p which seems like it could be true)
