How will Microsoft and Sony respond to the Wii U launch?

Gamasutra: "The Wii U price won't simply determine its own future. Once that price has been announced, it will have immediate and irrevocable effects on how consumers view the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3."

price drops

in terms of pricing Sony & M$ can pull a "Wii" on the Wii U launch

dorron1959d ago

I'd say new slimmer PS3 at around 200$ and maybe PS3+Vita bundle at around 350$ for Sony.

Microsoft will try to push Kinect in some way...

GribbleGrunger1959d ago (Edited 1959d ago )

Yeah, I can go with that. Baring in mind the amount of MOVE games, I'd also add in a few MOVE pack bundles too and a HUGE advertising campaign for Book Of Spells. Those Harry Potter fans are ripe for the picking

prob the same way they have been responding to the wii since its been out, pretend they dont exist lol

SonyNGP1959d ago

It's funny 'cause that's wrong.

AJBACK2FRAG1958d ago

Pretend it doesn't exist. Then steal everything. That's policy at Sony. Can't they come up w/ an original idea?

Captain Qwark 91958d ago

its been a while since they have had an original idea ill give you that buuuuuut i dont see a problem with anyone copying anyone as long as the clone is better than the original and from functionality alone, move works better than the wii

Hicken1958d ago

What did they "steal?" And from who?

Who'd they steal Blu Ray from?
Who'd they steal a multimedia console from?
HDMI output?
Dual analog controller?

And most of those are from this gen. I'm sure there are some others, too.

ALLWRONG1958d ago (Edited 1958d ago )

"Who'd they steal a multimedia console from?"

From Microsoft

PopRocks3591958d ago

They ignored it by doing exactly what the Wii did?

I don't know where you've been the last few years, but Microsoft and Sony have been pushing their respective motion control devices for some time now.
