Games Everywhere! Coursera Teaches Gamification For Free

Gaming Dead: "If you’ve ever had that feeling when you’re playing a game that you can’t just peel yourself away, and just one more round or I’ll shut down when I’ve beaten this boss or I’ll go to sleep when I’ve gotten to 100,000 points…then you know games can be addictively fun. But game-like elements have been making their way into decidedly non-game activities over the past several years, and now anyone with an Internet connection can learn about that process–known as gamification–via Coursera.org, a site founded by two Stanford University computer science professors that aims to bring university-level education to the masses for free."
