Why the Final Fantasy 25th Anniversary Collection is $450
Some people expressed bewilderment over the 35,000 yen price tag on the Final Fantasy Anniversary Collection. While this isn't trying to justify it, it does explain why it reached that number to begin with.

This really only says to me that things will never go back to the way they where. And by that I mean that JPRGs will be more about form, and WRPGs will be about function.
WRPGs will be about wondering the land killing things, screwing things and possibly pretending to have a family - that you can then kill - while JRPGs will be about reading a poem. Witnessing events weather than participating in them.
I am replaying ff8 on the vita atm which is the first time ive played it since i was 9 and it still holds true. I struggle to get drawn into any rpgs nowadays i think companies are too interested in making the most money on paper (meaning appealing to wide audiences etc...) and not looking at a concrete solid fanbase that would stay true to them.
Yeah i have been wondering why people have been making such a big deal out of this. Some games come out in Japan and cost about 90-100$ when converted to the US dollar. Entertainment as a whole in Japan tends to be more expensive.
If this was to come out in the US I would expect a 149 price tag perhaps even lower.
I hate the way this guy talks. It's reeeeeeally struuuuuuung out. Anyway he has a good point most people that buy this aren't even going to play the games it's just for the collectors to spend loads of money on. Would be nice to have a reasonable price though so all of the fans could enjoy this instead of a few rich people with money to burn.
screw that.. I love FF games but i already have most of them.. Plus FF X HD is coming so they will be making money off me again already.. Hopefully is crossbuy so i can have PS3 & Vita versions for one price...
Doesn't need a video, like Reibooi said above, inflated Japanese entertainment prices. I'm surprised it isn't more. Also these are the Japanese versions of the games, so unless you know Japanese you're not really going to enjoy them.

That made me chuckle. :)
