Death. Never a happy topic. Death in games however, or atleast some deaths in games, have achieved something extremely useful to the gaming community. They have helped prove that games should be taken seriously as stories and as art forms. The death of a beloved game character, as we will see, can be as heart-breaking as a character death in any book or film. Below, in no particular order, are ten of the most memorable game character deaths. This list contains major plot spoilers for various games. While I think there should have been less Mass Effect names on that list, not to say they weren't memorable ones, it's nice to see someone took the older generation's titles into account when making it.
