I miss the PS1 to PS2 era of horror games.
What the heck happened to survival horror?

The resident evil games were never scary. They were cheesy as hell. I played 1 - 4. 4 was the only one that the dialog didnt make me lol.

Horror is all very subjective. RE once was a horror series and everytime time Capcom promises it will go back to it's roots but it becomes more and more an action/shooter series. Silent Hill: Book of Memories is a dungeon crawler with horror influences... so this one's debatable too.

Signed up to the forums about a year ago for Lucius I think it was a good thing they delayed the game for a while in order to further polish some of the puzzles.

Dementium II gives me a "Carver's Gate" type feeling while Among the Sleep has seriously raised my curiousity because seeing horror through a two year old's perspective has never been done before.

However, Amnesia: Machine Of Pigs and Zwei shall be the heavy-hitters in the category but I will also add Winter to the list seeing that N-Space says that it is still in development......

I'll continue playing Yumei Nikki and .flow until I hear from them.

I would have put Aliens CM on that list before RE6 and TLOU... just because those games have zombies in them don't make them horror. The play styles aren't set-up to be horror in those games. I'm sure they probably lean more to the survival/action genre though from what we have seen so far of them.

No way. TLOU is the truest form of fear... Some kid wet himself watching videos of it so it must be true... In fact one character threw a brick in one video and then in another video the scariest thing ever happened. A completely different character threw the brick..... Can you imagine? I'm so sleeping with the lights on from now on....

Amnesia is the only true horror game there...

Still haven´t beat the 1st one... it´s just sitting there waiting for me to man-up & finish collecting those orb pieces :S

lone survivor, amnesia, limbo are the only real survivor horror games. I am willing to check these games out.
