Starfox and F-Zero Wii U On the Way?

According to what will be the last cover of Nintendo Gamer, Starfox and F-Zero Wii U may be on their way, along with Pokemon 3DS.

That's not always the case. Starfox and F-Zero completely skipped the Wii, and Punch Out!! and Metroid skipped the N64.

Although, none of their notable franchises have a skip TWO console in-a-row, so yeah, I say that a Starfox and F-Zero are guaranteed for Wii U.

When is this issue coming out? Too bad it's not exactly a confirmation yet, maybe they are just talking about the franchises. We will see... but Pokémon 3DS is interesting.

I have the issue and I've not seen anything on F-Zero or Starfox for Wii U in there. Its mostly either Wii U previews, a look back on the magazine and there are features on what could (note could) happen in the future of Mario, Zelda and Metroid. I'll have to take a look through it. I did laugh at the coronation street comment on the mass effect preview though :P

agreed. all i can expect from nintendo on the wii-u is another zelda, smash bros, mario and metroid.

i dont mind them but i need more IP's.

nintendo releasing sequels in the same sequence for 20+ years is very stale.

Xenoblade, Pandora's Tower, The Last Story, Baten Kaitos, Eternal Darkness, Golden Sun, Rhythm Heaven, Drill Dozer, Elite Beat Agents, Advanced Wars, Fire Emblem, Pushmo, Dylon's Rolling Western, Ketzals Corridors, Battalion Wars, Kid Icarus and more are all Nintendo owned IPs.

Nintendo has a lot of IPs, it's just that they don't market them nearly as much as they do the Marios and the Zeldas. So it's really Nintendo's own fault that people only see Zelda, Mario, Metroid, Wii Sports etc. and believe that all Nintendo does is sequels to those games.

I was in 8th grade when it came out on SNES. I played that thing to death. Loved the music in that game especially on the Big Blue track.

I bought the iphone version so let me save some suspense, the whole mario, metroid and zelda stuff is speculation. I can only guess that the digital version will receive an update, because as it is right now, there is 0 information(rumor or fact) about fzero, star fox, smash or pokemon 3ds and obviously no wiiu details, just some articles and previews with info we already know

I'd like to see another starfox adventure's over a flying starfox game to be honest.

considering how beautiful the GC game was, I would love to see what they could come up with on the Wii U .

I cant lie I enjoyed both the traditional Starfox's and the Adventure one. But for some reason I also hope the new installment lets me explore planets on the ground like the GC version. I want you all to understand I've played all the Starfox games since the NES. You might even bump into Samus while on your adventure!

I really did enjoy both Lost Winds games on Wii. The scenery, graphics, story, and relaxing music. If I can also control the wind on Wii U that would be awesome. I hope they are planning on making a new one for the U and please make the game longer.

I certainly hope so. I liked how we got the first Punch-Out!! since the SNES and first Kid Icarus since the Gameboy among other revived franchises in the last 5 years, but I'm ready for a new entry in the ones we missed this generation. These two as well as Pikmin 3 to be exact.

i would like to the Wii U have a star fox title especially to utilize the nintendo network and i have not gotten a chance to play any of the F-zero games so i dont know anything about it but games i wish to play on the Wii U would be "hopefully" a donky kong game, a mario kart game, trine 2, mass effect 3, a super smash bros brawl game and something like call of duty or splinter cell would be really cool.
