This article takes a look at 3 games developed by Rare that would have been successful on the Wii U.
Missing Killer Instinct!!!
i would buy wii u day 1 for a killer instinct game.
So would I, sooo would I.
I want Banjo-Kazooie back so badly! Banjo U?
Man, you really do want it back badly posting it three times :P
Can you blame the man? lol I want a proper Banjo-Kazooie as well! They are still some of my favorite games ever. Nut and Bolts would have made a great banjo-kazooie 3 until they for whatever reason decided that it would make a great racing game instead. Unfortunately there is no chance of B-KU or a proper Banjo ever =[
Killer Instinct Conker Goldeneye Those are my 3
aw man such a great company. too bad microsoft messed them up real good.
Rare isn't rare anymore so forget about it. even if nintendo were to get rare back it wouldn't be the same.
They could hand Rare's franchises to other studios like Retro Studios.
I didn't read, but I did notice the perfect dark zero tag. And if by "perfect dark zero" you mean "a good game like the original pd", then yes that would have been awesome.
Banjo-Kazooie Perfect Dark Goldeneye For me :D
instead of wanted rare back with nintendo, maybe we should want nintendo to finally buy retro then give retro the freedom to make new franchises.
^ all of this above And Diddy Kong Racing U :D
Not to be a negative nancy, but after Nuts & Bolts, I'm not sure I want anymore Rare sequels.
It was supposed to be a sequal to Tooie (called Banjo-Threeie) before it got changed...
Yeah I'm aware. That's the sad part about it. I'd rather not see anymore Rare licenses given such bad treatment. I mean, it's bad enough the game was nothing like its predecessors outside of the name and characters used, but I didn't even enjoy the game very much as far as the gameplay went. Rare just isn't the developer it used to be, so I'm not sure I even want them to announce new sequels to their older franchises.
What do you mean "would have"? The Wii U isn't even out yet and your already predicting that they "would" have been. There's a ton of time between now and when Wii U comes out and even after that. Who knows? Nintendo might actually get smart and try and back Rare back from Microsoft or make some kind of deal? Of course I know I will get a ton of disagrees for that statement but a guy can dream right? :)
This post is about to give me an anxiety attack from how many good games Rare could have had.
Please, Microsoft sell Rare. Give them a chance atleast. You're consuming their developer souls.
Those people who were actually behind those games have moved on to other things. What MS has are Future IPs waiting for MS to find capable people to revitalize these franchises once again w/ 21 century feel. they can even have 343i take a whack at perfect dark or maybe let lionhead take a shot conkers or banjo. maybe even hire Epic & their new Baltimore house to make a KI . with those possibilities i don't see those ips going anywhere .
I guess MS bought them just so they couldnt make succesful exclusives for nintendo, I know xbox has a different audience but still I dont understand why MS doesnt want to release a new killer Instinct at least
Actually Nintendo put them up for sale, MS couldn't have bought them if they weren't up for sale.
ok didnt kno that thx
I would have thrown on Jet Force Gemini myself it was a great game. And Killer Instinct
in WiiU? I'd love a Blastcorps game. That was awesome, but hell, a map full of icons would be great.
Rare go back to Nintendo that where you belong
