Atomic: Patrick Bach – “Battlefield 4 will be something that we couldn’t do in Battlefield 3...”

Atomic: A recent chat with DICE's Patrick Bach offers a couple of hints about the future of the Battlefield series.

You need to have some creative soul in a team, and DICE, right now, we’re trying to create the best possible Battlefield game to build our product. Oh, I'd LOVE more factions too. I'm so sick of just battling Russians. I miss the PLA, EU, and MEC factions a ton.

all i want is patches <75mb in size. there should be no reason why patches have to be 1-2GB in size.

yes i am. some people dont have very fast internet, or a means to get better service. It takes me anyway from 300-745mins to download one of these patches. and there is a new patch like every month.

i mean its not really so much as a "patch" if the size of the patch is 1/3-1/2 the size of the full game. then again what do i know? I just want to be able to play the game, and these huge patches make is so cumbersome for me thats all. =P

If I get Battlefield 4, I'd probably end up getting it for PC. But I wonder if they will finally up the player count to at least 32 by then for consoles?

Fuck that, the things people are asking for in bf4 were thesame things we were asking for in bf3. DICE better finish mirrors edge or make bf 2143 because i really dont see the need for another modern battlefield game considering that bf3 is already an excellent game

Yeah we "couldnt do" like in game VOIP, mod tools etc the list goes on.

inb4 they start marketing things they have re added that were in previous BF games that they took out....oh wait I was already gullable enough to buy into BF3.

Lost interest in battlefield after how hard they messed up the franchise. I've been a fan since 1942 demo came out. If I pick it up again it'll be during a steam sale.

Yes I'm aware of how low the odds of that happening are. I've uninstalled origin over 6 months ago and don't see a reason to install it anytime soon bf4 will be a joke.

Better gun design and reload animations, the ones in the Alpha version of BF3 were even better..

No stupid bugs/glitches.

Banning boosters/hackers from day 1.

Gun Camo for each weapon, at least 5 different ones.

More awesome looking Dog-Tags, maybe something like Black Ops?

A Tutorial for the new players.

Better jets, make them more fun.

I honestly think bf4 is going to be amazing!! so much potential with the next gen systems. as long as they dont have retarded blue tint and they bring back the leveling up sounds it will be kool beans.
