It's a game obviously designed for avid PlayStation fans. So if you consider yourself a member of that group, are you enthusiastic about Battle Royale?
Love the playstation brand but there is know way i'm paying cash for a smash brother clone. It's cool that people are hyped for it but it's not for me.
I'm a fan of the crossover fighter genre, so yeah I'm picking it up... Even though I'm not a hardcore PS fan as I never owned a ps1 or ps2
I've got the beta and it's immense fun, and that's only with 6 characters and 4 stages. With the whole cast and all the stages available, this game will be nothing short of epic.
YEah but Super Smash Bros. Is a clone of THE OUTFOXIES. Do your research people, Nintendo isn't an innovator. And no Zelda isn't the true Grandfather of Action-RPG's. DRAGON SLAYER by Nihon Falcom is the true originator and it came out in 1984.
If this was made with the God or War Ascension engine and fighting game mechanics it will be awesome and a refreshing game concept since Power Stone 2. It will also spare Sony and the PlayStation community the unnecessary roughness from Nintendo fans. Most of the characters are made from 3D games anyway and a 3D fighting engine and gameplay woll preserve their characteristics.
You don't have to like it but people really have to stop with the stupid reasons why they don't like it. I have no problem with you not liking a game but come up with better reasons then it's a 'clone',it doesn't have the right Dante or that it has Big Daddy in it or it doesn't have enough women or that Snake was in SSB and not this game or that that SSB had a better line up then PASBR. If you don't want to play PASBR or don't see that it's worth it, fine. But stop with the stupid excuses and reasons. You just end up sounding like some desperate fanboy nitpicking everything or someone trying to troll as hard as you can

Argue all you want but at the end of the day, Sony is still copying Nintendo with this.
if its fun and has characters you can be excited about then yes they should be.
I'm excitied for it
i def want to try it out, i loved SSB so im sure ill like this
If you are were around growing up playing games on the PSone than having the chance to revisit these iconic characters is a treat. Just like Nintendo chose to make SSB to cater to the fans of the classic characters on that system, the same can be said for this game. Like Nintendo the PS brand has a lot of memorable characters & it should be a no brainer to have a game involving these characters. So what if it is similar to SSB, there is nothing wrong with imitating the best in the genre as long as you make it your own & have your own identity. So far i believe Superbot is doing just that & i am excited to see the end results.
I don't think it's for everyone. Even all Playstation fans may not be a fan of this game type. I can see them giving it a try, but I can't see them dedicating too much time to it. As for fans of fighting games, and all things Playstation, they'll eat this up. That's a fact. :EDIT: It's worth noting that some of those people who claim they won't be buying this probably aren't even fans of either of the two mentioned things. So their word doesn't count. People spending their time comparing it to other games simply aren't Playstation fans, since most Playstation fans are seeing this as the game they've been asking for since seeing SSB when they owned a PS1.
I am a big fan of playstation and its franchises but fighting games just aren't my thing. I can absolutely understand the excitement for it though. I do love the idea of crossovers.
I hope theres a demo because im dying to play this game.
