Enter The Matrix With The Oculus Rift

I’ve been gaming since 1977 and I truly never thought I’d see the day when I felt like I was in the game. I’ve tried out a couple of VR helmets in the past and they were nothing but a tiny screen in front of my face. The Virtual Boy was playable for about 5 minutes before I had to take it off due to eye strain. Was I ever going to be completely immersed in a video game ala Holodeck or The Matrix? I didn’t think so, at least not until PAX Prime 2012 at the Oculus meeting room on level 2A.

OR sounds awesome, gaming for me is largely about immersion, the more immersed I can get into a game world the better.

This gimmicky stuff always was around but people have common sense that is a waste of money.

How do you know this is a gimmick if you havent even tried it? Personally I cant wait to get one
