The Gripe Vine: Why Does Square-Enix Hate Its Fans?

That seems to be the basic goal behind most businesses. But Square-Enix’s continued path of alienating gamers—especially now, with the announcement of a THIRD Final Fantasy XIII instalment—makes me wonder if the people in charge are playing by different rules. (Final Fantasy VII, Final Fantasy XIII, Industry, Kingdom Hearts, Square Enix)

SE is just like any other major publisher in the gaming industry...FF13/spin-offs still made them profit regardless of fans on forums not buying them...SE will continue down this road because it's working from a business point of view.

In this gen fans lost their voice due to the videogame business becoming mainstream.

SE just is the worst in that regard.
