Warren Spector Explains How Epic Mickey Is Like Deus Ex

Kotaku - A cybernetically enhanced secret agent with a sniper rifle. A mouse with a paintbrush. You'd think those two things couldn't have less in common. But Warren Spector, who has now created games starring both of those characters, would tell you that they're more similar than you may realize. (Deus Ex, Disney Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two, PS3, Warren Spector, Wii, Xbox 360)

Isn't this the guy who said games don't have to be about violence or bloodshed. Yet he compares his mickey mouse game to Dues Ex?

You know the Holocaust is a lot like kittens..

Yes he's that guy. He's also the guy that made Deus ex, a game in which you don't have to kill anyone.

He's comparing it in terms of design, not themes. He's basically saying that the structure of the games are similar, and that both games account for multiple play-styles.

they're both considered games, both Micky Mouse and JC Denton models are made out of polygons, both Epic Micky and Deus ex have a beginning and an ending....yeah, i see what he means @_@
