Xbigy Games' Kamran Draeger writes: "Apparently, Assassin's Creed 3's multiplayer mode will offer a deeper story than it did in previous instalments, becoming more than just an Animus training mode for Templars."
It is not " it's own take on spartan ops "....what an unintelligent comment. The animus has nothing to do with Halo or it's universe. I get what they are trying to relate, but they really are two different things. Spartan ops is a story you follow , via doing missions. The online Animus stuff that AC3 is doing is to give the multiplayer a story, but not one we are playing out. More like just background information. It's more like SAO than spartan ops.
And it already kind of existed since Brotherhood if I'm correct.
Well yea, but this time they are making it so it's real people using the animus to play/live this virtual HD experience or Past experiences. They are at least attempting to modernize it in a way that also fits with the main story. But spartan ops is like a playable B-movie.
The SP already has a story. I dont need one for MP...I just want to utilize the gameplay mechanics in a way that allows me to challenge other human players. By NOT including a story into the MP, they can add things that are unrestricted by a story, things that can add to the fun factor and balance of the game. All the story that i'll ever need can be found in the campaign (which looks like it will be awesome btw).
I could care less about multiplayer in these games or weekly-generated side missions.
That's some coincidence, because nobody cares about how you feel. There are millions of fans of the AWARD WINNING MP, who feel it justifies the $60 purchase by giving unlimited gameplay access via multiplayer, after beating it. Good day.
