"Dishonored is a game that has very quickly begun to shine brightly on gamers’ radars thanks to its promise of choice and consequence, as well as opportunities to make use of a wide range of diverse, fantastic (and fantastical) gameplay abilities. Dishonored has also drawn attention because it’s so easy to describe to hardcore gamers - “It’s Thief meets Assassin’s Creed” or “It’s Bioshock set in the 1700s… with magic!,” you might hear someone say.

Dishonored is also a game that can be brute-forced and broken. After admiring the beautifully realised city of Dunwall and its amazing mix of colour and architecture with hints of a watercolour aesthetic, and after playing around with some of the incredibly useful and fun magic abilities, I set about my task of wrecking my own experience to put to the test the developer’s assurance that you can play in any way you wish."
