Unlocked iPhones Threaten $500m of Apple Revenue

The Post.IE writes:

"Over a quarter of iPhones have been unlocked, according to a new US survey.

The phones, which can only be purchased tied to a single operator, are also beginning to appear in Ireland, with models for sale privately through popular classified services, such as Buy and Sell. The phones typically sell for €500 each, almost twice the $400 (€270) tag in US stores."

The story is too old to be commented.
