Yep! And with less wait in-between them using it's toolkit, since the whole point of his new Fox Engine is to pump out games in less time, while being compatible with current and next gen hardware too!
I hope no one takes this comment the wrong way...I really hope you guys don't but despite having both consoles I really, really hope MGS5 stays exclusively to the PS3. Kojima focused on the PS3 with MGS4 and he created a masterpiece I want him to do the same for MGS5 whether it's on the PS3 or the PS4.
Although if MGS Zeros does come to the 360 then I guess the chances of MGS5 being multiplatform are increased.
I wonder if we'll ever see a return of Snake again in MGS5. I wish they would make him young again...they could do anything with the things we've seen in the MGS universe.
Please dont take this comment the wrong way but since metalgear solid 5 is most likley a next gen game i hope konami keeps this game multiplatform or who knows the 720 might blow the ps4 away and it might need to be exclusive to the 720 to get the best game possible. Metalgear has never had allegiance to one console as its been on every platform of the big three so far so I imagine it will stay that way unless $ony gets out its checkbook again but if I was Konami I would make sure I waited till that check cleared first.

so pretty much since its a prologue then its not gonna be that big of a game? considering kojima means prologue is what happens right before chapter 1 of MGS5

Since Ground Zeroes is a prequel to MGS5, either MGS5 is gonna be about Solid Snake's beginnings or maybe it just shows how the events of MGS5 will come to be, based on something that Big Boss does in Ground Zeroes.

as for the rising thing it was suppose to take place between 2 and 4 but they wanted to make thier own story so it takes place after 4 in what you might as well call an alternate timeline so its not really official in the series
so how i take it, ground zeroes means multiple zeroes (the very beginnings of solid snake and possibly liquid snake) seems to make sense in my head. if it takes place in the 80's that has to be around when it all started with solid snake and liquid snake. So i believe its going to explain everything about solid snakes beginning so the plot in MGS5 makes sense, cause its going to be about something that happened in his past.
Rising takes place after Metal Gear Solid 4 and tells the story of Raiden trying to feed his family by working for a PMC company. After he fails his mission and gets his old suit from MGS 4 damaged, he gets a new black suit that he needs to keep charged by stealing other cyborgs' power units since it uses a lot more power than his old one.
Damn it, i'm excited but disappointed aswell. No backlean in this game? it's an open-world/free-roam game? Wtf? I just hope the story isn't as cheesy or melodramatic as mgs4s. I'm sorry if i anger the hardcore fangirls, but from a critical viewpoint, kojima needs to go back to his roots and use mgs3 and mgs1 as blueprints for a great script and gameplay. The sci-fi bullshit is becoming too prominent in this series. Don't get me wrong. I'm sure it'll be a badass game, but it could've been better.
That's what I am presuming Kojima means by the "MGS5 will be a new beginning" thing, this is supposed to be the end of the constant Big Boss prequels so maybe that's it and then MG and MG2 remakes, or just one game to cover both of them presumably.
Before they called it a prequel to MGS5 I had the feeling this would operate in the same way MGS2 did. So we'd have Big Boss doing a mission at the start which would last a few hours and then the main part of the game would be the rookie Solid Snake (like Raiden in 2) being sent in to take him down. I guess now though that this will show the events that led immediately up to the events of Metal Gear and that MGS5 will be a remake of Metal Gear and possibly Metal Gear 2 combined. Thoughts?
We keep on buying Metal Gear games. So yes. The story will be full on bathshit crazy. They wouldn't have any financial incentive not to make it so, as our wallets have continuously fed them the OK to make it this way.
