Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII Makes Major Changes to the Series’ Formula, Ends Trilogy
Kotaku - Final Fantasy XIII heroine Lightning will be back in a new game, Square-Enix announced today. Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII. This one is going to be a very different Final Fantasy.
(Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII, PS3, Xbox 360)
Idk about everybody else, but I'm sick of SE changing FF so damn much. I know they're trying to innovate, but they're changing the series beyond recognition and what people fell in love with years ago is no longer there.
major changes? No. It is actually going to back to older times when it more of an open world and the houses and shops were explorable. But having only one playable character new...
Well the gameplay is gonna be more like CrisisCore and KH, but with a bit of strategy too.I like what they're doing. But I would like to see FF15 be more traditional.
I like tat the combat is an evolution of FFXII's this time around. My biggest gripe with FfXIII was going in and out of loading screens every 2 minutes because enemies were lined up at the edges of a long corridor. Made me just want to keep running and skip every battle
People might think this trilogy is a bad thing, but would you rather they focus on trying to improve the series, take out ideas that fans didn't like and keep ideas that they did like in the series?
This way they can use this and make FFXIV better. I would rather them experiment on FFXIII than experiment on FFXIV.
Ummm. FF14 has been out for a while. It's an MMO so anything they learned from 13 shouldn't be used in 14. But good point. They have been using the sequels as experiments and learning experiences to maybe make FF15 a better game with ideas people like.
Great, so now it's on show to see that what they're doing is trying to bridge the gap in gameplay difference between XIII and Versus XIII, by rushing out the terribly named "Lightning Returns". Simply to maximise profits on one of their worst main titled games ever.
That's a really crappy thing for gamers. A newly announced, unrequested game will be releasing before a game that FF fans have been waiting irritably more than 6 years for. So out of touch with their fans, Square are. SO, SO out of touch. Wada needs to go, now more than ever.
