God of War: Ascension Panel – The Rules of Kratos

GOS: "The God of War Ascension panel at PAX 2012 consisted of Game Director Todd Papy, Lead Game Designer Mark Simon, Principal Character Artist Patrick Murphy, and God of War series writer Marianne Krawczyk discussing our favorite bad-ass Kratos, and what makes him tick.

One interesting part of the discussion were four rules the panel revealed that were to be followed when Kratos is being depicted" (God of War: Ascension, PS3)

I actually remember Kratos making a joke about Hephaestus being helpful in GOW3 when he was in the Underworld. Lol.

This doesn't surprise, as marketing rules are important for building character. Psychologically people associate weakness with defensive actions, so Kratos is always moving forward, and never on his back, never in a position of defeat until he actually dies, it's how to use psychology to make people think your character is extremely bad ass.
