GameFreaks Review | The Secret World

GameFreaks-

It seems we are living in the age of MMOs, in the PC gaming world anyway. Every game developer out there sees the success of World of Warcraft, a game which consistently maintains a player base of around 10 million paying subscribers, and imagines themselves to be the ones that will finally usurp WoW as the dominant player in the MMO market. Newer graphics, a more storyline driven focus, voice acting, none of these new ‘innovations’ in the genre seem to have any lasting effect on the preference of the majority of gamers, and so all these pretenders to the MMO throne seem to fall miserably short. (PC, The Secret World) 7/10
