Metal Gear Rising developers “clash all the time”

Metal gear Rising: Revengeance is a joint production by Kojima Productions and Platinum Games, and the two companies don’t always see eye to eye.

Speaking to EDGE, Kojipro’s Yuji Korekado said both companies are very independent and don’t play well with others. (Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance, PC, PS3, Xbox 360)

I agree with the Kojima Production guys that the game should have been set between MGS2 and MGS4 instead of the alternate time-line that the Platinum guys suggested. And to be honest, the art-style of the game is pretty ugly too and on top of it all the new cyborgs look really lame.

I totally agree with you it should've just been set between MGS2 and MGS4. Also you're right about the art style it looks bad. Then this news shows up and it just makes me believe the end result is going to be piss poor.

I think Konami should just cancel it IMO. If I remember correctly Raiden himself said in MGS4 that he wanted to be with his family and never leave them alone or something along those lines.

seriously, are you still upset over the fact that Raiden gets his own game?
also judging by the pic you put there, i think you're referring the game's characters design right?...they're fantastic imo no one can match japan in character designing and art...tell you what is ugly? this http://www.axac22.dsl.pipex...

Yet another reason why this game is garbage. They should've kept it canceled instead of giving it to Platinum Games. They're nothing but an overrated company that makes mediocre games.

I can accept people don't like a game for various reasons but to suggest Bayonetta or Vanquish are mediocre is particularly ignorant

I´m glad they didn´t canceled the game, because ever since gray fox i´ve been wanting a metal gear with a cyborg ninja. Although i preferred the first rising, revengeance doesn´t look that bad, and it seems fun to play. I think that platinum games pushed to an after msg4 setting so they could create some crazy boss battle and new types of enemies. It´s an hack and slash now, so you will want new types of enemies, and if they sticked to a between msg2 and msg4 storyline they would be limited to that. And as for platinum games, i liked bayoneta, they had some pretty cool ideas there, it wasn´t mediocre and it wasn´t great, it was simply good. As for vanquish... damn, mediocre written all over it. I can´t even finish the game because it´s so bad, and it´s annoying too. I just hope that the kojima productions quality rubs off on platinum, and that this revengeance be something special. For those that want a true MGS, fear not, MGS ground zeroes have been announced.
