Confirmed: NBA Live 13 Will Drop This October! : IRB GAMER

It’s all said and done. After months of wondering what will happen with NBA Live 13 and why it appeared at E3 and was never really seen again, the moment of truth for all of the patient and impatient Live fans. (NBA Live 13, PS3, Xbox 360)

I knew there was something wrong with the lack of previews/gameplay vids.....2K will crush EA again most people won't even bother to download Live 13....

If they implement ultimate team into live 13 similar to nhl and fifa series, not only will you never touch 2k again, but most of your other games will start to collect dust too.

Ultimate team is where you Buy with coins or real micro trsnsactions and You open random card packs, and bid or auction off players to build a team with whatever players you want to play with online or in tournaments. You earn coins from matches and selling players. It is it's own economy it's very addicting.

You must work for EA. Just having ultimate team wouldn't make people stop playing other games.

Live has no chance. 2K has Rose, Durant and Griffin on the cover. They have Jay-Z's name stamped on the cover. They have the Dream Team. What does Live have...?
What are they thinking making it a downloadable game. NBA 2K13 will own this game.

Surprised EA didn't buy the NBA License like they did with the NFL, the 2K Basketball games slowly gained on NBA Live, finally overtaking it and sending Live into obscurity. NFL 2K5 was about to do the same thing to Madden, but EA bought the official NFL License.

They hate competition, surprised they are allowing themselves to get so thoroughly whooped.

EA did try to buy the NBA license but the NBA told them directly that they wanted more then one product out there on the market. Besides, EA should be encouraged to improve their game anyway after being dominated by 2k for the last couple of years and I don't think a digital release is good enough. When you add in the fact that no marketing has been done for this game, EA pretty much has a guaranteed flop on hands.

How the once mighty has fallen.

I guess this is Karma for killing off 2k football. I used to love Football VGs. But lost interest in the years after it was ONLY madden to choose from.

I am glad that 2K keeps improving there game and will continue to even without strong competition from EA.

I cant see a XBLA or PSN game being on the level of a full disc release. Going to be interesting to see what happens.

I will try out NBA live 13 (demo-trial) for sure. Who knows...it may just be a solid title.

Not sure how anyone could support or feel sorry for EA. All this company does is try to be number one and in doing so they fail every time. Titles like FIFA and Madden were cool this year, but in the end they shouldn't try to focus on making every game a winner.

Once they forced 2k into a corner snatching up licenses left and right, they went back to the drawing board and made NBA 2k a good as it can be. While it still is far from perfect, this game is and will always be the superior basketball title.

Any REAL LIVE fan knows this and thus should stop denying that fact now lol
