Sleeping Dogs Review | ProvenGamer

Morgan Park of ProvenGamer.com: In a world where the Saints Row and Grand Theft Auto series provide all of the modern day open-world gangster entertainment, Sleeping Dogs enters the wild with no prior relevance. While Saints Row is completely over the top in every respect and Grand Theft Auto 4 takes itself seriously at the expense of insanity, Sleeping Dogs strikes a balance somewhere in the middle. It combines crazy John Woo style action and ridiculousness with a mostly run-of-the-mill gangster story with a few cool twists. While it doesn’t necessarily do much new to excel the open-world genre, it nails nearly everything it tries to do, and is easily some of the craziest fun I’ve had this year. (PC, PS3, Sleeping Dogs, Xbox 360) 4/5

I can see myself purchasing this game a year down the road when it's labeled "GOTY" edition, and half price.

Not to imply that this game isn't worth purchasing, I simply have other games that I would rather play at the moment.
