Very cool feature. This sort of reminds me of how you use touch controls to play emulated games on an Android phone. The screen has the controller on it with touch buttons.
It's pretty dang awesome, but I wonder why there aren't four other places? (top, bottom, left, and right) Parts of the screen? Either that, or you should be able to move the touchable areas around to the exact spots you want. Hopefully they work on this idea and expand it a little further. Great fun to fight battles on Persona 3 with the touch screen though. :]
There are several excellent updates in this firmware but unfortunately the PS1 list over at the American blog has ruffled a few feathers. SCEA, what were you thinking? LOL
That's why it was funny. SCEA could have saved themselves 6 pages of venom if they had explained that. It's made even funnier when on the next few pages people start to realise. Sony should have done this on April 1st
Is all of this really happening Sony releasing a meaningful update for the Vita?? And early too. Maybe they aren't giving up too quickly. I dare say that If some killer games come, the Vita could go down as the most intuitive portable gaming system ever so far.
@myswordisheavenly Now we just need other devs like guerilla, polyphony, naughty dog, eat sleep play, to put full support to the vita, i wanna really see what it is capable of.
The store doesn't get updated until tomorrow night. Also, you can download them onto your PS3 and transfer them to your Vita right now. Just go do that. ^_^
Guess it's right, wouldn't hurt to add those optional touchscreen buttons. Although probably only 0.01% of people would ever use it.
I wonder why I got 4 disagrees... I can't think of a single psp game where I would need to use the touch screen instead of the physical buttons. Didn't people say that replicating physical buttons using touchscreen doesn't work?
Well I like it, I use the bottom corners for select and start, cuz i always felt select/start on the vita where in a weird place and a little harder to press than the other buttons. So i think it is a nice option.
@edgeofsins not tryna look like a victim, its just almost every comment i make on here comes with facts or good points. i get alot of disagrees sometimes.. i couldnt care less. just saying i dont go around just clicking on the damn button for no reason.
You can also use l+r triggers to maneuver the camera w/ the right stick now!
imagine what well see in the next couple years?
itll be excellent, thats for sure.

Lol @ people that purposefully pay attention to disagrees to try and look like a victim.
