Resident Evil 6 is awesome, here's why (new footage)
For every fan angered, another is gained. Resident Evil isn't the same as it used to be, but in this case after 24 hours of playing Resident Evil 6, it looks like Msxbox-world believe it's a winner for everyone.
(PC, PS3, Resident Evil 6, Wii U, Xbox 360)
Resident Evil gets a lot of heat, and most great games do. Some of the RE spinoffs have been sub par but the core RE games have been pretty awesome games.
Honestly, I would be looking forward to the game if it didn't have bad animation (when I say animation, I mean how the characters move, and when they move, they have inappropriate animations that quite frankly don't make any sense at all.) and terrible control (the demo felt horrible to play, and those cross hairs need to go away forever.)
BTW this is coming from a long time RE fan, I've pretty much beaten every RE to date, thats including the survivor series lol
Are you guys serious? I mean did you guys play/saw the same RE6 demo that I saw? Cuz the one that I saw sucked bad!!! Far from true Resident Evil games!
AC is not a bad game at all but I prefer RE franchise all over it. Mostly because the whole modern day plot of AC games is really lame/weird and feels a bit forced. Also I keep wondering why the obsession with Freemason/illuminati/satanists symbology (like the symbol in the cover). It makes the franchise even more weird. So considering I am not a big fan of the gameplay either, and have other games in mind, I wont be buying AC3.
RE6 looks really awesome with the 4 campaigns; and the fact that Leon and Chris are on the same game it make it even more BADASS!!
Resident Evil 4 was by far the best one. If you ask me, Resident evil has been going downhill with it's element of "survival horror" ever since Shinji Mikami stopped directing them after 4.
I'll wait for this to drop to $30 bucks. I actually liked RE5 a lot (never played any re games except 4, so that might be partially why, and it had great co-op), but Resident Evil 6 just doesn't look very interesting to me.
Actually, I might just wait for the $30 dollar inevitable "gold edition", which will hopefully have playstation move support, as re5 gold move support was really good.
N4G must be where the purists meet, as trolling is unmonitered. Theres not even close to the amount of hate for RE6 over at Gamefaqs, Ign, or Gamespot. Fortunately the disagrees I'll get are the minority. Like the guy said in the vid. It isnt a traditional RE, but a great game nonetheless. He said 16 hours for mission completion. The preview included the first two chapters out of five from all three campaigns. Thats around 5hrs and some change for each campaigns first two chapters. One can honestly assume around 10 hours for all chapters per campaign. This is of course based on skill level, but tons of gameplay nonetheless. Add Mercs mode and all its unlockables, Agent Hunt modes replay value, and Adas campaign. 50+hrs easy.
You're smack in the middle of killing some monsters, and then all of a sudden you have to walk down a catwalk, strutting your stuff, with the latest gladrags on. It's a bit much tbh, games don't need it.
I agree. Item management, atmosphere, tension through contrast in gameplay scenarios, characterisation, and storytelling makes The Last of Us a better survival game and overall game. Even at this early stage you can see where Capcom have gone wrong for survival horror and right for the action blockbuster.
I'm waiting for the comparisons that will certainly come about, especially the content both games offer, but RE6 could offer 40+ hours of gameplay, but if they're not getting it right, none of that matters. If you nail it, your game will be remembered for more than just "the best action game of 2012".
I think most comparisons will be shallow, thoughtless and skewed, but what else can you really expect from modern video game journalists.
This game looks great, it really does. I am just not into zombies weilding mechetes or shooting back at you because thats what they did and carry the memory of the use of the weapon while they were alive. If there werent other games coming out from now through February 2013, I would definitley buy this game. Right now, I dont value it enough to buy on the release date; with that being said, I would love to get it right away, but I will wait until the price goes down about a year to a year and a half from release date. I am content with that, maybe even play it on the PS4 if it is backwards compatible. Happy zombie slaying!
Sreen tearing all over the place!didnt capcom told that they were fixing the screen tearing??Well its very noticible from does images that they didnt fix shit! Not to mention that the framerate looks crap too!
You do know thats the same preview copy from E3 right? Prior to said fixing claims. I love your keen detection skills from a SD youtube video. Such a knack for detective work. Who are you again? Hmm, everyones an expert on N4G.
Well its very obvious from that video that the screen-tearing is still there, just like its obvious that the framerate its low indeed. You probably dont know how to detect or what it is screen-tearing and framerate. This problems are very noticible indeed if you know them!!And thats not the same build from the E3!Insted of releasing the game one month sooner Capcom shoud have taken more time to make the game better especialy in the technical aspects!LAZY WORK!
I thought we had all agreed that the Resident Evil was Dead?
Let me know what you ALL decide, SO that I can know what to think.
>In truth, Capcom can do whatever they want with the franchise. It might be good, better, or worse BUT I won't knock them for trying a new formula or trying something new.
It's just kind of a clunky shooter now. I really don't mind the series going in a different direction, but when you have a hundred other games out on the market or coming out soon that look and play better, there's not much hope for the game, regardless of the name attached to it.
Can't wait for RE6. This fall looks awesome!

RE6 ALL DAY BABY, ALL DAY WOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Yeah I'm super excited for the game I'm hoping to get my sites first review copy with RE6. I'll be super excited if it's the first one I get.
Actually, I might just wait for the $30 dollar inevitable "gold edition", which will hopefully have playstation move support, as re5 gold move support was really good.

I blame Kate Moss.
hopefully that will spark the survival horror genre, and Capcom will go back to the original RE roots.

''RE6 is a cash grab, here's why''
I know it's a preview build, but aren't those pretty close to the final build?
