MediaStinger: "With the company falling on hard times due to financial problems, it’s safe to say that THQ and their development studio Vigil Games have a lot riding on the success of Darksiders II. The sequel to 2010’s breakout hit is far bigger than the original with a new lead character and a vast amount of improvements --but is the second coming of the Horsemen enough to keep the struggling publisher alive, or do repetitive gameplay elements and glitches ruin the riders' return?"

"Vigil Games may not be around anymore but their 2 Darksiders games really raised the bar for 3D action adventure games. Let's take a look at both titles' gameplay and worlds and see which one emerges victorious." - A.J. Maciejewski from Video Chums
Darksiders 1 is a complete game but it’s obvious with Darksiders 2 they ran out of budget after the Ice world and the game just becomes a poorly paced mess.
The release date has been revealed for The Art of Darksiders II Hardcover Edition.
The game is definitely NOT better than the first one. At least for me, I enjoyed the first one from beginning to the end, while this game has a lot of issues. I did not like the leveling system at all, as well as the equipment/weapons system. I think that when trying to make it much bigger they lost a little focus on a lot of things. There should have been an easier, faster way to access the map too... Also, I think the first one had more action. This game is just chores with tons of bosses, but doesn't feel like an action game.
Something unforgivable though was that you can't use the D-Pad on the menus. That is a MUST in every single game from every console!
Even though I did not enjoy the second one as much as the first one, I really hope there is a third (and fourth) to be able to play with the other horsemen. It is a great concept and I wish THQ has a success with this one. Or just have Sony (or anyone) buy them and release the next sequel
i'm still yet to play this, because i'm playing through the 1st one on apocalyptic.. it's fucking difficult..
