I just found out papa and yo is ps vita compatable, gonna turn mine on now to see if I get it for free on the vita as I bought the ps3 version the other day.

I got a 32GB for $70. Really good price if you ask me. Probly won't need another one ever.

You can also just use your PC as a form of storage which is what I used to do when I only had a 4GB. I would store some downloaded games on my PC whenever I got new ones to play. Then I just put them back in the memory card to replace other ones again. Yeah it's a hassle, but it's not like you play 5 games all the time right?

Can the games also be stored on ps3, or is pc more convenient?

storing on ps3 is way easier you can buy/download and transfer to your vita just like a psp and store said game if you want to like psp games. when you transfer a game the vita it may auto delete but just re-download it on your ps3 and dont transfer.

I've never even owned and played any PSOne games. Man was that 15 years ago? I was still playing with my Playschool Lego blocks when PSone was released.

Games get updated graphics and sound the gameplay is still gameplay and that never gets outdated.

So what are the top 10 PSone games? Any recommendations?

PS1 had some awesome games, but with so many of them you will get a ton of mixed lists. I'm not gonna say they are the best, but these are some great ones.

FFVII, VIII, IX, and Tactics, and if the ever add it, Bushido Blade 2. Squaresoft was a beast of a company back then. Most of what they made was great, while I never got to play it much, Xenogears was highly revered.

Metal Gear Solid is always great.

Resident Evil 2, Legend of the Dragoon, and Megaman Legends are also great.

While not the greatest around (And I doubt they will be on the PSN ever) Evil Zone was a blast to play.

Again, there is allot of games, And I am sure I am missing allot of them. This was just a quick post off the top of my head.

Evil zone and legend of dragoon were the greatest those two games on the vita would be amazing!

How did you get three downvotes for asking for recommendations? Anyways, Resident Evil 1, 2 & 3 will be the first PSOne classics I will be loading up. Played through them all back to back on the PS3 recently and they are still as good as they were back then. Also, download RE Code Veronica X from the PSN if you plan on playing them all back to back :) Can't wait to blast through them all again on my Vita! MGS, as always, FFVII too.

Castlevania Symphony of the Night. I think that's the only PSone game I'll replay on the Vita. This game really was the best Castlevania game in my opinion and just a shining example of all the 2d sidescrolling genre had to offer.
I might even consider loading up Medieval. I haven't looked at FFVII in years as I don't know how well it'll hold up, but this would certainly be worth a look if you have any love of JRPG's. It was the reason I finally bought a PSone back in the day.

FF7 was my absolute favorite PS1 game back in the day. Logged over 100 hours into it. Such an amazing story. And characters. The love story between squall and rinoa was awesome.

depends on what you want. most of the games might turn you off considering how the tech had advanced since the ps1 days.
castlevania:sotn is a definitely a must buy. great game, great soundtrack. i would also imagine that its 2d graphics would just shine on the version vita.

Final fantasy 7 is a MUST have, 8 and 9 next. of course metal gear solid, grandia, resident evil 1-3. parasite eve 1 and 2. there are plenty more as well.

You can always start off with the Crash Trilogy. Then go ahead with games like FF, Parappa the Rapper the original MGS. Eventually you'll find out how charming the console was back then.

Does it bother you? You don't have a PS3 or a Vita, and you're not interested in either. Just as with all things, the price will come down.

But since you have no intention of buying one, what does it matter to you?

Maybe you should create your own handheld, have it hacked to death, and then decide on a different approach next time. Or you could make the same mistake again and then be upset when support for the system quickly dries up.

Load times are on thing that has kept me away from Playstation.

Are the old systems load times carried over into the games you download ?

I dont know about that but the load times for ps vita games are really short. Gravity Rush takes a few seconds to load up :D

The only game I've come across so far that has long load times is Wipeout 2048.

Saying that, if you download the PS3 tracks (HD and Fury) they actually load up a lot faster.

Although isn't a bad thing, PS Vita don't need psone classics but brand new IPs designed for it. If I want to play psone games, I'll plug mine to the tv and play, I didn't bought psvita to play games from 1995-2000.
