PSU writes: "PlayStation Vita gets a lot of flak for not having the most robust library in gaming, but it still deserves some credit. After all, Vita's launch line-up was arguably one of the greatest in history - in terms of variety, quality, and quantity - and the handheld has even received a few standout experiences in the months since.
But you know what really grinds my PlayStation-loving gears? Seeing critics and dissenters ignore the absolutely stellar line-up of Vita games coming before the year is out. In the next few months, tons of truly promising titles are coming to Sony's shiny new handheld. Here's 10 of them."
It's been a little slow the last few months, but then EVERY CONSOLE IN EXISTENCE goes through dry patches. For whatever reason, the Vita has just become the whipping boy.

In all seriousness I'll be getting LBPV, Persona 4, Ragnarok Oddyssey, and Battle Royale in the next few months. After that I'll be waiting on Tearaway, Soul Sacrifice, and Killzone. For now I'm getting my money's worth from Sound Shapes, Dissidia FF, and Mortal Kombat. Bring on the disagrees haters. :P
Vita has no games is what I say anyway/ It has a few games, more are coming out soon, when they come out I will buy a Vita. Either way, when someone says it has no games they mean it doesn't right now. It certainly has games coming out soon.
Multiplatform/Ports/Remakes/G ames I can have on my HD console (PS3):
-Ratchet & Clank: Full Frontal Assault
-PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale
-Persona 4 Golden
-Call of Duty: Black Ops Declassified
-Street Fighter X Tekken
-Need for Speed: Most Wanted
-Madden NFL 13
New games for Vita:
-Assassin's Creed III: Liberation
-LittleBigPlanet PS Vita
-Ragnarok Odyssey
That's the problem with vita, and not that it "has no games". I hope Sony will bring more exclusive games, vita is not a home console and they need to understand it. I am expecting to see some original/exclusive vita titles at TGS (Loco Roco? Patapon?)

Things will pick up soon. It's far too early to be writing the system off, after Christmas of 2013 we will have a much clearer picture to how successful Vita will be and has been.
System Sellers like Monster Hunter could have helped the Vita in Japan alone, but now the franchise went to 3DS.
Physical BC could have been a huge incentive to buy a Vita and replay all those nice PSP games while waiting for heavy hitters, but since you can only play games downloaded from PSN, which means, RE-buy a limited selection of games that people already have, it's not an incentive at all to be honest...
Can't argue against that logic, but that's not the point of my reply. You asked a question; I correctly answered it (given that you didn't disprove it).
I'm not saying the trite PSV doomed articles weren't stupid. But having your head up in the clouds pretending no one was previously saying "Vita has no games" is fallacious.
Been waiting for months to get Ragnarok Odyssey only to find out it keeps on getting pushed back, even though the game is done and ready.
It's a weird decision to have it pushed back to when every other Vita game gets released, which is October.
(on a side note, why is Black Ops Declassified $50 on Amazon? $50 for a handheld slumped port? ok...)
One MP map doesn't make a port. The game takes place between Black Ops and Black Ops II. It isn't a port.
Actually, it's less than a port, but still one. It is made from the previous games engine. Just with insanely poor graphics, only 4vs4 and no nazi zombies.
It's a terrible idea. I'm not a fan of COD(anymore) but it really made no sense. It should have been a Vita version of Black Ops 2 with PS3 crossplay. Same game, just scaled down.
Chances are Sony asked them if they'd make COD for Vita and since they were mid development on Blops 2 they said they didn't have time to make it for Vita so instead suggested Nihilistic could make it instead for a quick/easy cash in.
The problem here is an awful game and most have seen the gameplay so won't even bother.
When people criticize the Vita's line-up, they're not talking about the console getting games in the past or future, they're talking about the present. Right now, for the past several weeks, and for the next several weeks the Vita has -zero- support.
And it sucks.
And to make matters worse, it's hard to even discuss this awful state of affairs without fanboys attacking, trying to argue that a five-month long stretch of nothing is somehow excusable if there are a handful of decent games bookending the drought.
Or, worse, try to argue that it's understandable in the "summer" (even though the drought eclipses most of Autumn, too) or because the Vita is "new," even though even consoles that are "dead" like the Wii and NDS have had more support in the same timeframe.
But, by all means, continue to pretend the Vita is doing just great. After all, God forbid anyone at Sony take notice of consumer dissatisfaction and decide to do something about that. Sheesh.
Edit: I see the PimpDaddy account has flared up again like a haemorrhoid. Once every 3 months or so it'll pop up, flame Sony fans and troll Sony articles like crazy, go quiet for 3 months, then do it again, yet it's logging in all the time. How much you want a bet it's active bubbling/debubbling accounts on a regular basis though. Mods? Perhaps worth a look?
That's why IRL vita isn't selling well
Ba
DUM
TSSSSSSSHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
Still, the upcoming roster looks better and better.
I would rather get a smart phone and at least I can do plenty of other things than just game on it. It is far more portable too.
Heck, I could get a 3DS for almost half the price of a PS Vita and it has games!!!
"Thanks for your opnion bud but just because it reigns true for you doesn't mean it applies to the others that have and will buy a Vita"
I didn't claim it was universal, but it sure seems like it with the slow PS Vita sales!
Okay, reality check; it took only months to make, so it's a fair assumption the budget was a fraction of BLOPS2. I don't know any more than you do whether the game will be good or not (okay, we all have our gut reaction), but it's plain delusional to think the COD name alone won't ensure this turns a worthwhile profit...
I'll help you out; consider christmas presents bought by those that aren't gamers...hmm
To be clear, I'm not 1) attacking you, 2) suggesting that the game deserves to be a hit or 3) discussing developer credability. I'm simply saying COD will turn a profit, whether we like it or not. It's like Mario; it sells regardless - FACT ;P
The problem is vita is lacking the support of developers to really create something specifically for the vita that isn't some smaller indy/puzzler title. Something AAA. Instead we get lackluster spinoffs or ports (save assassins creed if you are into that series).
I don't think that only triple A will "save" the Vita, I really think it has some really great games even before the gamescon, give it time, i'm sure it will catch up on sales (at least I hope so).
he can't, like other well known xbox fans/sony haters here (jelly, xof, pimpdaddy, etc)..no money to buy it (like ps3 2006), or no good games to play on others consoles = hate, lies and troll ,)
Guess I'll be picking LBPV, Ragnarok Odyssey and hopefully AssCreed Lib and PSASBR :D
I'll wait for some opinions about BO Declassified before i purchase it :L
It's not a lack of games, or the price, but a lack of interest in the console. I mean the Vita ONLY sold 400,000 console this past quarter. That averages out to 133,333 Vita's sold per month between April-June. That is less than the PSP or original DS sold in the same time period.
I think Sony misjudged the current marketplace. Smartphones and Tablets have replaced handheld gaming consoles as the popular platform for "mobile" gaming.
The only reason the 3DS isn't suffering the same fate as the Vita is because Nintendo has a loyal following of people that like to play thier "type" of games...
The Vita has been out since December in Japan and February everywhere else. For it to only have sold 2.2 million consoles worldwide by the end of June is proof that the demand is poor.
I may get bombarded with disagrees because of the bias on this site towards Sony. But regardless of the difference of opinion. The fact remains that although the Vita is the "best" piece of hardware for mobile gaming, it doesn't appeal to mass market and that is a serious problem for Sony.
"Sackboy's debut on Vita would be special even if the game were a rehash of the incomparable LittleBigPlanet 2, but thankfully, LittleBigPlanet PS Vita (I know, awkward title) looks even better. Front-touch, back-touch, and gyroscopic controls add a compelling layer of puzzle-solving and navigational depth to the platforming experience we already love, and every single piece of LittleBigPlanet 2 community content and DLC will work on Vita, day one. We've got a hunch that LittleBigPlanet PS Vita will be in the running on many Game of the Year lists - for it's first year, Vita could hardly ask for a better blessing."
Damn straight. This is my most anticipated game for the rest of 2012. Only one more month and I'll have my new favorite handheld game. I didn't even know all the LBP2 community levels would be available in LBP Vita. That's incredible, my excitement for this game has just increased tremendously. LBP2 is my favorite game on PS3, mainly because of the mind blowing 7 million user created levels and now I'll be able to play them on the go along with new LBP levels made specifically for the Vita.
I'm also getting: Ragnarok Odyssey, PS All-Stars, Persona 4 Golden, Ratchet & Clank: FFA, Retro City Rampage, Snapshot, Assassin's Creed III: Liberation, Soul Sacrifice, Guacamelee, Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time, Killzone Mercenary, and Tearaway.
So far, most of the games I've played on my Vita are fan-fucking-tastic. I'm in love with the PS Vita. Probably because I have such great taste in games. ;D

look fantastic
IMO portable gaming is (for me) the most convenient way to play rpgs so I'm really looking forward to Ragnarok, FFX HD and catching up on older PSP titles that I missed.
Call of Duty, considering the developer, I wouldn't get my hopes up.
Ragnarok Odyssey...........fuck yes.
Your title is very funny. The Vita hasn't got a great amount of games, it practically has none. But there is titles coming out, sometime, in the future. Even your title shows this fact. I bought a Vita for Unit 13 only to find it was garbage now i'm waiting on Monster Hunter.
It's like I have no money but i'll have money later this year.
No thank you , Hence the common opinion b4 Gamescon......
It has no games.... If you own 1 already, of course your opinion 's gonna reflect " Justification " of your purchase.
Prove me wrong.
Your opinion of the games being rehashes do not mean all the games are exact replicas, instead they're their own game with unique experiences.
I bought mine because I saw the games it had prior to the release of the Vita. I don't buy systems only to realise they have nothing that I want to play.
Your opinion of the Vita having no games is your justification for not buying one. Makes sense to not buy a system that has no games you are interested in , but to claim all the games are worthless is wrong based on your point of view. Suck it up and go look to something else that is more for you.
It should be judged based on games you can ONLY play on vita and unfortunately that's only a handful and the majority aren't really decent. It needs some selling points, saying I can play a poor man's version of call of duty isn't a selling point. Playing the worst entry in the uncharted series also isn't a great selling point. If they ended up reinventing an old IP exclusive to the vita that was decent then I'll get excited.
I am a vita fan but I'm also realistic. Every other platform has a lot more to offer.
I dont have as much time to play the PS3 as I would like so I get to rock the vita on the go!
Ratchet, LBP and definite buys for me.
