Ratchet and Clank And Other PlayStation Icons Have Movie Possibilities

PushStartSelect: "Have you ever found yourself playing Ratchet and Clank and thought “you know if this was an actual movie or show, I’d watch it!” Well I have, and yes I know the games themselves offer absolutely amazing cinematic experiences, but there is just something special about seeing video games hit other mediums. Ratchet and Clank always offered that Pixar feel, and Insomniac could easily compete with Pixar if they ever tried, and a movie just sounds fascinating. Turns out Ratchet and Clank could very likely be seeing a movie along with many other PlayStation franchises. This includes Jak and Daxter, Sly Cooper, and even ModNation Racers." (Culture, Heavenly Sword, Jak and Daxter, ModNation Racers, PS Vita, PS3, PSP, Ratchet and Clank)

A Ratchet movie would be awesome. I know the kids would love it.

I could only trust Pixar with an R&C movie.

Sony has a movie studio

why the disagrees for helghast?
pixar is a perfect studio for R&C.

@RustedMan

I agree, but Sony has a movie studio. One of the big 5 actually. But Dreamworks (Shrek) could do it as well.

And IMO they should have done this a long time ago. Ratchet, Jak, and Sly should all have CG movies by now, and cartoons so kids can jump on board with those franchises. Now Sackboy needs a cameo.

R&C movie please! I would watch the living crap out of that movie.

Pixar would probably be the ones that would do the best job. Although if you let the Dreamworks crew that did "How To Train Your Dragon" do it, it would most likely kick ass!

Oh, and use the original voice actors too. Don't replace them with big Hollywood names.

I doubt Pixar will do it because of Disney. Arent Disney and Sony movie studios rivals?
Capt-FuzzyPants  +   598d ago
Yeah, but if there's money to be made any studio is probably open to anny idea.

I can see R&C, Jak&Daxter and Sly cooper & friends as cartoon programs.

i would totally pay to see an animated movie about a game :D Live Action films just ruin gaming franchises all the time. I wish them all the success :)

Ratchet and Clank Future: A Crack In Time is almost like a pixar movie :)

That's what the box said.
