Dark Casuals Dark Souls is forgetful & watered down with it's bonfire checkpoints spread out over a level letting you farm very easily before a boss fight, not only that but the human/hollow thing really has no impact on you beating the game just get Drakes Sword and your good for most of the game unless your trophy hunting. Demons Souls on the other hand gimped your life making the game more challenging, and that awesome BLUE & RED aura that radiated from your player. Demons Souls also had a better soundtrack and memorable NPC's, or let's talk about the crappy armor sets in Dark Souls they look like pieces that were just thrown together for the hell of it. Also the bosses are just as exploitable as previous From Software games like Kings Field etc. So don't put Dark Souls on a pedestal J-blaze, I think the seamless non loading levels is really the only thing positive for Dark Souls otherwise it's a very forgetful game. Demons Souls will be remembered Dark Souls will be forgotten!
I'd call them about equal. I felt the bonfire system was much better, more enemy variety/More combat variety/more loot. The level design was top notch in some places like Sen castle. But I felt the online was lacking, Dark souls was also much harder, Demons souls was only hard at the start

Getting past those two archers in Anor Londo and reaching the bonfire has to be one of the most exhilarating moments I've ever experienced in gaming. God I love the Souls games.
i finally beat demons souls, and i have 2 lord souls left to get in dark souls, i think tey are the best games ive played in a long time! since ff 6-10.
