Skyrim Dawnguard DLC review | The Vine

The Vine writes: The previous Elder Scrolls outing, Oblivion, was superb. It hit like a truck, kissed like a fist and stung like an arrow to the face. It also created such a strong reaction that Bethesda began pumping out regular, and meaty, DLC for the title, which meant fans were able to periodically dip back into Cyrodil. There's something so intensely gratifying about well executed episodic DLC; Mass Effect 2 did this incredibly well, as did Fallout 3. Imagine your favourite show finished. Now, imagine that occasionally your favourite characters from that show get sporadic specials in which they return, doing all manner of cool junk! Which, incidentally, is exactly what MacGyver got once the series finished due to Richard Dean Anderson hurting himself on account of doing his own stunts. And that, my friends, is how you digress. (Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Dawnguard DLC, PC, PS3, Xbox 360) 4/5
