Nintendo has a strong grip on the Japanese sales market. A new report from Media Create claims that the Big N currently maintains a 70% share on all software and hardware sales in the country. The sales tracker says this is Nintendo’s highest percentage in the past five years.
Nintendo is one of the top innovative videogame companies in the world. Who of which are very deserving of this monumental success. It tickles me inside to see this much positive news leading into the next generation of the Nintendo product line. Hopefully the great fortune continues with the release of the Nintendo Wii U entertainment system, which is just around the corner from being widely available for the consumer wherever videogames are sold.
If things run as smoothly as they are running now for the big N. Maybe that %70 can turn into a whopping %80. As of now that seems like a very realistic achievable goal for Nintendo. A special thanks goes out to all of the hard workers employed with Nintendo HQ, and our fellow Japanese brethren for showing so much love and support. This achievement unlocked obviously would not have been possible without them.
This causes for a small celebration. I will sport my F-Zero T-shirt that I won at a Smash Bros Brawl tournament in the name of Nintendo, and success.
Have a blessed day and happy gaming.

Gravity rush is a very good game but how exactly do you know that tear away, rain or puppeteer are innovative only based on their concept when they aren't released yet?
Have you even played any new nintendo games? Xenoblade is the fabled mix between J and W Rpg's we have long hoped to see. The Last Story cut out all the stuff people hate jrpg's for and added more fast paced action that's still strategic (play it and you will see how its innovative). Play Kid Icarus Uprising. Stylus contolled game that has flight and land stages with a weapon that turns you into a shrimp. Yes a shrimp. It even has 6 player online mp that lets you choose more powerful weapons but penalizes you by making you lose more of your teams health when you die to compensate. It was one of the most unique game ive ever played. Pushmo was pretty innovative also, and damn fun. Also not every game itself is the innovation but part of the gameplay is like Super Mario Galaxy. Platforming on a round object.
People who think Nintendo doesnt innovate prob think N only has 3 ip's (mario, zelda, pokemon). If you had a 3ds or wii you wouldve seen or heard of P100, Xenoblade, Kid Icarus, Pushmo, Last Story, glasses free 3d, tablet controllers, spotpass, streetpass, and a social network built into a console. IDK thats just a few off the top of my head that are recent.
Whether you like them or not, those games are innovative, and there have been several 3rd party exclusive that are innovative this gen too. Zack and wiki comes to mind, as well as boom blox, deadly creatures, madworld, izuna, arc rise fantasia, and many others. get off your damn high horse. Nintendo still has innovative software. nobody can deny that.
New IPs does not equal innovation."
oO so making KK marios and zeldas IS innovation right ?
go lick some miyamoto balls fangirl
Do you not understand the concept of innovating with something old? I'm sure you have heard of these awesome devices called smart phones. they innovated on something old, a telephone. Thats what nintendo does with their franchises. They innovate with their old IPs, and why does it seem like Nintendo haters don't know about any games but mario, zelda, and Pokémon?
Anyway good going for Nintendo.
I would however touch a Nintendo product with a barge-pole. I even touch them with my hands, quite a lot actually. Which is something I have in common with the Japanese.
Now let's see Nintendo actually do this in another territory...oh wait! They still aren't selling that great in America and Europe's numbers have fallen off a cliff. Of course, that won't stop Nintendo fanboys from giving each other high-fives. Sad.
Japan gets great 3rd party support on nintendo so they deserve that much of the market but in the west, its only the same recycled franchises over & over again.. I wonder whats the next big game that sells on nintendo out HERE..3rd party struggles to appeal to customers in the west on their platforms..
you realize Sony is a Japanese company right?
But they know they have remained official regardless of any naysayers. :)
