Five Games From 2012 (So Far) That You May Have Passed On But Totally Shouldn't

GR: As the fall draws near, the ever approaching torrent of games will undoubtedly keep our thumbs busy well through the rest of 2012. But seeing as how there's still a slight lull before the storm (I say slight because we were just graced with both Sleeping Dogs and Darksiders II) there's no better time to catch up on some of the great games that released earlier this year you may have missed out on.

That's where we here at GameRevolution come in. The first half of 2012 was loaded with fantastic games. So many in fact, that a handful were bound to get overlooked. To keep you busy right up until the holiday rush, we've compiled a list of five stellar titles that quite possibly flew under your radar.

I agree but my issue isn't finding games, it's finding time. This is the first time I have ever stopped pre ordering or buying at launch. Skyrim, KoA, the wither 2, ME3 and Dragons Dogma have taken up all of 10 months. I love DD. I haunt finished Batman or KoA, and I would love to play Max Payne and darksiders. And journey and a few other downloadable look awesome.

I really, really need to play The Walking Dead episodes, I've only heard about how they're awesome-awesome and I just haven't... bought 'em. >_<

Also I gotta say, very good list. All those other games are excellent as well, especially Amalur. It's a real shame about that whole fiasco.

I have intentionally not played them because I'd rather wait until they've all come out so I can play them all at once. Waiting for the next games leads to the forgetting of small details from previous installments, thus I'm going to get them all at once :D I can't wait :)

It's only $4.99 per episode.

I play an episide in the evening and afterwards I feel like playing nothing afterwards. It's emotional draining, in a good way.

You should throw Starhawk onto that list. That game is absolutely fantastic, and alot of people seem to have passed it up.

Heads up: in the current issue of @Gamer, there is a coupon for $30 off on Kingdoms Of Amalur: Reckoning. I think it's only good for another week or two. The current price at Best Buy is $39.99, meaning you can get the game for $9.99 + the $5 cost of the magazine... or if you are the nefarious type... you can try and snag the coupon from the magazine. Not encouraging it... but you know.

It is the issue with Medal Of Honor on it. I got it at launch and actually went to the launch event and met Curt Schilling and RA Salvatore and a ton of other 38 Studios people, but I plan on buying it again for PS3. Awesome game.

No. Nothing even close to the souls games. Amalur is much fun in its on right, but if you expect or compare it to the souls games you will be very disappointed.

Watch a gameplay video. It's a fantastic game. Don't pass on it just because the gameplay is different from Dark Souls...

Great Article and I'm glad that the Darkness 2 also made the list. The Walking Dead Game is simply phenomenal because I never thought a point and click game could be so engaging and addictive as this game is.

The Darkness II was an awesome game! I loved it the whole way through, Hope DE makes part three. They are good devs.

Also though, I would add Gravity Rush to the list, that game was a blast the play!

Swap out Kingdoms of Amalur for Dragon's Dogma and then it's a pretty good list.

Good list and I'd put Kid Icarus in there which is one of my favorite handheld games of all time. Online MP is damn fun in that game and the complexity and variation to the weapons/skills is excellent. Tons and tons of replay value.

I hate to admit that I haven't played any of those games. I at least have Walking Dead 1&2 downloaded thanks to PlayStation+
